Last Christmas Chalets

How to get there

Chalet Eichhorn and Fasan are located in the beautiful larch woods of Saas Fee, a well preserved village 1800m a.s.l. in the canton of Wallis (VS) in Switzerland. Saas Fee can be reached by public transport (train and bus) within 3h from the airports of Zurich or Geneva. Starting with the winter season 2017/2018 powdair.ski is flying several times per day to Sion (VS), departing form airports in Belgium, the UK and Switzerland (Zurich). This will make the trip to Saas Fee substantially shorter and more convenient!

How to get around

Saas fee is car free. Cars are parked in the central parking of Saas Fee and you will get around by foot or electric taxi. From the parking it is a 10min-ride to reach the chalets. Electric taxis fit up to 6 people with luggage. In the winter season you have access to free ski bus or electric train (Allalino) 350m from the house. Distance to the slopes 1.5km (a bit more then 1 mile), distance to village center 800m (a bit more then 1/2 mile).

One of the Top 10 ski stations

High-mountain setting, ye olde wooden granaries, in-your-face glaciers. Saas Fee ist also known as the little sister of Zermatt. They both belong to the Top 10 ski destinations in Europe with spectacular slopes, views and a great infrastructure. 4,000-meter peaks such as the Dom, the Taschhorn and the Alphubel dot the skyline, and it's from here that the extended version of the Zermatt-Chamonix Haute Route begins. The generally intermediate ski runs flow downhill alongside glacial tongues pocked by gaping crevasses.

Saas Fee and it’s love affair with Wham!

Here's a little secret: In Winter 1984 Wham! lead singer George Michael threw a bunch of snow balls on our property! Wham chose the stunning location to produce the legendary video clip for "Last Christmas”. The picturesque "Täli" attracted George Michael and his friends for it’s raw beauty and charm. Chalet Eichhorn and Fasan were not built then, but if you watch the video you will recognise the location and our property!
